Therapeutic Approach
Jenna shows up in the therapy room with a warm, grounded presence, offering a space where clients can move at their own pace and feel genuinely seen. Her work centres on compassion, curiosity, and safety — helping clients understand their inner experiences with gentleness rather than self-criticism.
She values deep connection and believes the therapeutic relationship is most healing when clients feel accepted exactly as they are. Clients often share that they feel understood, supported, and able to explore difficult emotions without pressure or judgment. Jenna’s approach is trauma-informed and strength-based, drawing from polyvagal theory, family systems, and bioecological perspectives to help clients make sense of both their internal world and the relational patterns around them. She supports clients in building emotional regulation, reconnecting with overlooked or unheard parts of themselves, and discovering new sources of resilience.
A Little About Me
Jenna was drawn to counselling through a lifelong curiosity about people — how they grow, how they cope, and how they reconnect with themselves when life feels heavy or confusing. She values authenticity, kindness, and meaningful connection, both personally and professionally.
Outside the therapy room, she finds grounding in mindfulness, movement, and time in nature and with her dogs. These practices help her stay present and aligned in her work, and she brings the same sense of calmness and attunement into sessions. Her values guide how she shows up with clients: with steadiness, compassion, and a belief in their capacity to heal.
Background & Experience
Jenna’s professional path has woven together education, mental health, and relationship-focused work. Before becoming a counsellor, she trained as an educator, which deepened her understanding of human development, learning, and the diverse ways people express their needs.
Through her counselling training and experience, she has worked with individuals navigating anxiety, stress, trauma, relationship challenges, identity shifts, and moments of disconnection from themselves or others. These experiences have reinforced her belief that healing is not about fixing something broken — it’s about coming home to oneself with clarity and compassion.
Each client she has supported has shaped the way she practices today: with patience, respect for lived experience, and a commitment to creating a space where clients can feel safe enough to explore difficult emotions and discover their own strength.
