Fees, Insurance & Cancellations
We believe that understanding costs should feel simple and stress-free. Below you’ll find clear information about counselling rates, insurance coverage, and our cancellation policy. Fees & Payments
Individual, parent, youth, and family counselling sessions are billed at standard professional rates for Registered Psychotherapists in BC.
Individual or Parent Counselling:
$165.00 per 50-minute session
Child, Youth, or Teen Counselling:
$165.00 per 50-minute session
Initial session, extended session and Family Counselling:
$247.5 per 80-minute session
(Rates include applicable taxes. Online and in-person sessions are billed at the same rate.)
If finances are a barrier, please let us know — we may be able to offer sliding-scale options or referrals to lower-cost resources. We support intern students at our clinic to offer low cost therapy options.
Payment is due at the time of session and can be made via credit card in Jane.
Receipts are issued immediately after each session with all information to claim services with extended health benifits.
Insurance
Counselling services are not currently covered by MSP, but most extended health benefit plans offer reimbursement for sessions with a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC).
Please check your plan to see what credentials are covered.
After each session, you’ll receive a detailed receipt that can be submitted directly to your insurance provider for reimbursement.
Most plans cover counselling provided by:
Registered Psychotherapists (RP)
Registered Clinical Counsellors (RCC)
Social Workers (MSW, RSW)
If you’re unsure, we recommend contacting your provider to confirm what coverage you have for counselling or psychotherapy.
Cancellations
We understand that life can be unpredictable. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice to avoid being charged for the session.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice (or missed appointments) are billed at the regular session rate, as that time has been reserved specifically for you.
